Behind the ideas - Character names

Elvin Aldwin - The name Elvin is old English and has the connotations of 'magical being' or 'Friend'
The name Aldwin is also an old English name that means 'Old friend'

I chose this name because: This is the character that the main protagonist meets in one of her lives. She is alone and down and doesn't know what to do and he is the only person that understands her. This is the thought behind 'Magic being' and 'Friend' but he also knows who she is like an 'Old friend'

Jade Renae - The name Jade is English and means 'Precious stone' which was also believed to have magical powers.
The name Renae means 'Reborn'

I chose this name because my main protagonist believes that they are worthless which creates Irony with the fact their name means 'Precious stone' there is also the fact that they are 'Reborn' into different lives so their surname reflects this.

Chosen film name

I have chosen the film name 'Inverted' as the main character feels inside out, confused - inverted. I think this is good as I can play on the colours in the film and the posters etc..

Audience profile and further genre research

Having researched further into genres, I have found that my original idea of fantasy does not fit my trailer. Although Fantasy is very similar to Science-Fiction, this genre is more idealic for the idea behind my film as mine is set in the modern, human world and not in a made up one. Wikipedia says that fantasy is
"Distinct from science-fiction film and horror film, although the genres do overlap" which may be why I had some confusion at first.
Bearing this in mind, I have also thought about other sub-genres that my film could be included under: mystery, action and thriller.
